Staff Immigration Compliance, Changes and Challenges for the Education Sector

This session is aimed at higher and further education providers to address compliance issues, Right to Work Checks, and prevalent immigration concerns in respect of your PBS sponsored and non-sponsored migrant employees.

With extensive experience of advising HR and Recruitment departments within the education sector, DavidsonMorris Principal, Anne Morris and in-house immigration specialist for the education sector Lizama Thahir will:

  • Discuss compliance issues as it pertains to the sector, common pitfalls and recommended practice
  • Take you through the Statement of Changes 2015 as it pertains to the Business Visitor Visa reform in general and academic visitors in particular
  • Discuss the steps that must be taken as a result of the closure of Tier 1 (General) to extension application as of April 2015
  • New BRP regime from overseas
