Increase in Free UKVI Appointments

IN THIS SECTION

The number of free appointments available at Sopra Steria Centres has been increased. The change applies to all centres, except for premium centres.

Update in Free Appointment Availability

The updated booking calendar now shows 28 days of appointments, with both free and chargeable appointments. A new date is added each day. Free appointments are released onto the booking system at 9am, while chargeable appointments are released at midnight.

Free appointments typically book up quickly, meaning applicants may have to book a later date to secure a free appointment.

What are UK Services Centres?

Services centres are operated by Sopra Steria, a private company, on behalf of the Home Office. These centers don’t handle the application itself, but provide in-person support for visa and citizenship applications submitted online. This includes collecting biometric data (fingerprints and photograph), verifying supporting documents, and ensuring your identity matches your application. Attending an appointment at a Sopra Steria Centre is mandatory for most visa and citizenship applications submitted within the UK.
