Adam Hoefel shares insight into how to approach the Tier 1 investor application.

“The common pitfalls that we find when we’re dealing with Tier 1 investor applications typically revolve around getting supporting evidence in the correct format, so bank letters that can demonstrate the funds are indeed in your possession and that they’re transferable to the UK.

“When it comes to applying for an extension three years down the line, we also see problems with the way the investments had been made and maintained throughout the period as well.

“So it’s really important from the very outset before making your application that you understand what the eligibility requirements are, the exact form in which the documents need to be presented and then once you have the visa that the investment is made in the prescribed way.”
