Adam Hoefel summarises the application process for the Tier 1 investor visa.
“When applying for the initial Tier 1 investor visa, in most cases the application will be made in the applicant’s country of nationality or legal residence.
“In certain cases you can make an application to switch into the Tier 1 investor category from within the UK.
“In either case you’d be providing the consulate or the Home Office with supporting evidence that demonstrates that you have the required funds in your possession and in your control and that those funds can be transferred to the UK.
“And in certain cases, depending on where you’re making the application, there may be additional requirements you need to satisfy as well. So it’s always a good advice to take seek legal advice before you apply it to ensure that you can satisfy the criteria.”
