Gary and Tatiana
I support my local football club and last year a group of us went along to support the team during a six week overseas tour.
I met Tatiana at an after-match function. Tatiana was a bar maid at one of the pubs we went to. We started talking and when I left we swapped contact details.
Tatiana and I started emailing and I arranged for her to come and visit me in the UK. We were so happy I didn’t want her to leave. I asked her to marry me and she accepted.
DavidsonMorris solicitors were recommended to me by a friend. They were very understanding of our situation and assisted us by drafting Tatiana’s application and arranging the Embassy date. The whole process was completed within a couple of weeks and we celebrated our wedding in January and couldn’t be happier.
Nigel and Susan
I had been single for a few years and I signed up on a number dating websites. One evening, after a long day at work, I got a message from Susan. She said she read my profile and felt an instant connection I read her profile and was stunned. She was a lovely person and we had so much in common. I was instantly taken with her.
The only problem was the distance as she lived in Malaysia. We couldn’t meet straight away but started emailing and talking on the phone and pretty soon we fell in love. I visited Susan and by the end of our holiday, I wanted Susan to join me in UK however I was worried our about our age gap and the fact we’d known each other such a short time.
I found DavidsonMorris marriage visa services on an internet search and contacted them for a consultation. Anne and her team couldn’t have been more helpful. We’ve been married over three years and we have two beautiful baby boys. Life is great.
David and Mia
When I turned 40 I decided it was time to settle down. A friend of mine married a lovely Thai girl not so long ago and she made him very happy. I asked him how they met and he gave me the names of a couple of websites and dating services he had used. I signed up and pretty soon I met the love of my life – Mia.
I asked her to marry me and come and live in the UK before we even met. She said yes and I was blown away. The next step was to arrange a visa and neither of us had any idea where to start.
I found DavidsonMorris solicitors and they were so helpful. They told me I needed to go to Thailand to meet Mia before we could get married. It was amazing to meet her and we turned it into a wonderful holiday at the same time.
When I got back we set the visa process in motion and soon we were married and Mia is now here and we’re looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together.
Sandra and Marcelo
I met Marcelo in London, we connected instantly. We started dating and within a couple of months we were living together.
A couple of years later we were still very happy but Marcelo’s visa had ran out. He didn’t want to go back to Brazil and we didn’t want to be apart. After his visa expired, he lost his job and couldn’t find work.
We knew we wanted to live together in the UK and we loved each other but since he had already overstayed his visa and been working illegally, we didn’t know how we can sort it out.
We found DavidsonMorris on the internet and went to them for help. They were fantastic. They had seen this situation dozens of times before and told us exactly what we needed to do so that Marcelo could get an unmarried partner visa. He went back to Brazil and we started the application process straight away.
There were some difficulties getting Marcelo’s entry clearance approved as he had previously overstayed his visa. But DavidsonMorris persisted and eventually we won.
Marcelo came back as soon as the visa was approved and we are now happily living together in London again.
Ron and Vanya
I’d lived alone for a number of years since my divorce and spent a lot of time caring for my elderly mother. I’m a successful businessman and so my schedule was very busy – I didn’t have a lot of time to meet new people.
On a visit to a restaurant in 2004, I struck up a friendship with Vanya, a lovely Russian woman in her early 40s. Over the next year our relationship developed and she moved into my home with me. At this stage, Vanya told me that she had been living in the UK illegally for a number of years and I thought that me being a British citizen meant that her visa would be automatically approved. We made an application to the Home Office in Croydon but it was refused and thereafter I started to search for a solicitor.
DavidsonMorris advised Vanya to return to Russia to re-apply for entry as my fiancée. It was a difficult process and the first application was refused because of Vanya’s previous history but DavidsonMorris saw us through every stage to the end and now Vanya and I have a secure future together living as husband and wife in the UK.
Andrew and Tony
Andrew and I first met in 2007 and started living together soon after. Andrew was on a student visa but not attending college and working full time. When his visa expired, we knew he couldn’t apply for an extension and we just carried on living together.
Andrew was caught by immigration and detained. We tried everything to get him released but he was eventually sent home to Jamaica. I went to visit him and together we went to the British embassy and applied for an un-married partner visa. The application was refused as we didn’t submit the correct documents and Andrew’s removal was also used as a reason.
When I returned home, I contacted a number of solicitors and decided to use the services of DavidsonMorris. They helped us at every step and Andrew is back now with me. We are inviting the whole team to our civil partnership service next year!
