UK Immigration News September 2012

So, what’s been happening this September?

1. We’ve had another injection of changes to the existing rules concerning family life. What and how to apply for 10rs residence on the basis of your private and family life.

2. London Met students in outrage as the University has their ighly Trusted Sponsor licence revoked. London Met have initiated proceedings to have the decision overturned.

3. A Lewisham restuarant recieved a civil penalty of £15,000 after the UKBA found three illegal workers following a raid. What have we said about Right to Work checks!? It’s such a small requirement and costs a lot less than £15,000!

4. Two men have been sentenced to a total of 13 years in prison after it was found they had been smuggling fake passports in joints of meat!
